It’s hard to make right choices all the time. It’s hard to always obey, always tell the truth, always forgive, and always be kind to others. When it’s hard for us to do the right thing, we’re feeling the power of sin tempting us to do the wrong thing. 

The good news is that we don’t have to fight the power of sin alone. Jesus is waiting patiently to be your friend and help you!

When we choose to believe Jesus took the punishment for our sin and made us right with God, we aren’t just saved from the punishment of sin. We are also saved from the power of sin. When we believe in Jesus and decide to follow Him, God becomes our friend, and He helps us do the right things. He gives us His power! Whenever you’re tempted to sin, ask God to help you. Choose to depend on God’s power to help you say, “No!” to sin. Choose to live and love like Jesus, and tell others He is your leader and number one friend!
