Powerhouse 30 Day Devotional

DAY 24 OF 30

Are you getting it done?

What exactly is it though? Jesus tell us that the most important command is to love God with all our passion, prayer and intelligence, and the second is to love others as well as you love yourself. But what does that actually look like? Let’s be honest – when your God-tank is on empty, it can be hard to love others as well as you love yourself. So let’s break that down. Are we prioritizing prayer? His Word? Is our passion for God increasing and our knowledge of Him deepening? When we enter His presence, it doesn’t require a certain time commitment or the ticking of boxes on a regimented checklist. His presence is available to you and it refreshes your soul, your mind, your attitude, your thoughts, your intentions and the way you see others. I pray the same simple prayer every single day – ‘God give me gracious eyes and a generous heart’ – my head may not have even left my pillow some days or I might be driving to work, but this simple, heart-felt request can change the way I face my day. It can change the way I see circumstances, it can change the way I treat people and it can change how I choose to respond to situations. Spend time in His presence, pray simple prayers, commit yourself daily to Him and ask Him to help you love others. After all – we love because He first loved us.

Prayer: God, help us to prioritise Your presence and spending time with You. Help us to love You with all that is within us, so that in turn we can extend that love to others. Thank You for loving us enough to send your Son Jesus. Amen.

About this Plan

Powerhouse 30 Day Devotional

How do we live for Christ? That's a big question, and ultimately we can't figure that one out by ourselves. In order to do so, we have to seek God, live by His Spirit and get to know Him more.  Join with us over these next 30 days as we journey together and learn how to live a life more Christ centred and ways we can become more in love with Jesus.
