Extended Memorization Of Scripture: 2 PeterSample

Extended Memorization Of Scripture: 2 Peter

DAY 41 OF 62

So in the end, Peter is really warning Christians not to seek this kind of Christianity—living for the pleasures of the flesh (sex, food, drink, material possessions), all the time assuming the feasts are bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ!

Peter says it's better for people never to have known the gospel than to know it and turn back to their lives of wickedness. They are dogs that return to their vomit and pigs wallowing in the mud. They were never transformed by the gospel.

The gospel has power to turn dogs and pigs into entirely new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17), who no longer live for the vomit and muck of immorality but yearn for holiness.

Recite yesterday’s verse, 2 Peter 2:19, ten times, being sure to include the verse number. Again, you should look at the screen if you need to refresh your memory. Old verses next, altogether: Recite 2 Peter 1-2:19 together once, being sure to include the verse numbers.

Now, recite your new verse. Read 2 Peter 2:20 out loud ten times, looking at each word as if photographing it with your eyes. Be sure to include the verse number. Then cover the screen and recite the verse ten times.
