Extended Memorization Of Scripture: 2 PeterSample
There are other benefits to memorizing Scripture: comfort during trials and bereavement, power and wisdom for counseling, the development of heavenly-mindedness, the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit, conviction over indwelling sin, fruitful passage of time while waiting for delayed plane fights, etc. Suffice it to say that this is well worth our time.
Recite yesterday’s verse, 2 Peter 2:16, ten times, being sure to include the verse number. Again, you should look in the screen if you need to, just to refresh your memory. Old verses next, altogether: Recite 2 Peter 1-2:16 together once, being sure to include the verse numbers.
Now, recite your new verse. Read 2 Peter 2:17 out loud ten times, looking at each word as if photographing it with your eyes. Be sure to include the verse number. Then cover the screen and recite the verse ten times.
