Who Is God: Devotions From Time of GraceSample
You have a living Redeemer in Jesus
There are times in our lives when we feel strong, smart, invincible, immortal, and totally in control. And then there are those times when we know we are broken, miserable, weak, lost, and trapped. The apostle Paul didn’t mind those times. Paul said, “For Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10). Paul was strong because he turned to God, and God’s strength was made perfect in his weakness.
One of the most precious names for our God is Redeemer. A Redeemer is a mighty rescuer--often a relative--who bails you out of a tough situation at great: personal cost. You have a living Redeemer in Jesus, who willingly gave his life so that you could live with him forever. Your Redeemer loves you!
