Let It Shine 

Once, a certain political leader came to see my father, and when he came he did not utter a single word. My father placed his hands on him and prayed revealing his entire life prophetically. The leader was filled with tears of joy. In the meeting that was held the same evening, this leader came as a special guest. Before my father’s speech, he got up and said with tears, “Bro. Dhinakaran is not a man; he is God. He had revealed all the thoughts in my mind and prophesied those plans in my life which would be fulfilled”. What a surprise! In the general elections held later, his party won by a majority and he became the Chief Minister of that State. Later on, my father had to visit the same place to dedicate a church. When the Chief Minister saw my father, he came running and said in front of everybody, “If I am the Chief Minister today, it is only because of Jesus’ blessings and the prayers of Bro. Dhinakaran.” 

My friend, this is how your small act of kindness and prayer can change lives and draw many to Jesus. As the Bible says, being the sons/daughters of light, your testimonial life can change a person. Just like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden, let your light also shine before others. So encourage and comfort one another in Christ Jesus. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, thank You for You have not kept us in darkness. You have rather given us the privilege to be sons/daughters of Your light. Give us the grace to carry this light to others through our words and deeds. Let Your name be glorified. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
