Trained Eye

Those who reject the existence of God simply because they've never seen Him are like blind men who reject the existence of the sun because they've never seen it. What we see is not the measure of whether something is there or not, unless of course we assume our sight to be perfect. And we know that it isn't the case. Just put a talented artist and an average Joe in front of the same work of art. While the artist might be blown away, the average Joe may find the piece completely unimpressive. So, is the piece good? The perspective you bring to the table has everything to do with how you answer that question. There may be layers of genius and brilliance in the art that the untrained eye is blinded to, though an artist recognizes it instantly.

Well, God would have us to be like the talented artist: having trained vision. He has painted a universe for us to admire and praise Him for! Take a moment today and evaluate His artwork all around you from the skies to the trees. Don't look at them as trees planted by the city or the sky you've seen everyday, but as the thoughts, creativity and imagination of God Almighty. Let the greatness, intelligence, and genius of creation direct you to the greatness, intelligence and brilliance of the Creator. If food, technology, and landscapes can be so good, how much better is He?! Creation is displaying something. Pray and seek The Lord to train your eye to see it.
