A Seed of Hope During InfertilitySample

A Seed of Hope During Infertility

DAY 22 OF 56

Profile of an Overcomer: Rachel, the second wife of Jacob, was the daughter of Laban and the younger sister of Leah. Jacob truly loved Rachel. How disheartened she must have been when she did not conceive and give birth to his children! BUT God was mindful of her; He had not forgotten her. He heard her prayers, especially during the times that Leah and Jacob's concubines were giving birth to many children. The Scriptures say that God opened Rachel's womb. A question to ponder is, "Who closed her womb?" The culprit was the devil. As God redeemed her from barrenness and released fertility in her body, she became pregnant with Joseph, who would eventually save their entire nation by bringing them to Egypt during the harsh famine. As she gave birth to Joseph, Rachel made a declaration about her desire and expectancy to have another son. Her words of faith carried weight with God. Sometime later, that desire was granted as she gave birth to Benjamin. Today's Takeaway: Continue to trust, pray, and speak well of God's good intentions for you, especially during this season. God hears your faith as you speak His Word. You are not forgotten. Today's Hope-filled Affirmation: I'm redeemed from the curse of the law. I choose to receive and enjoy everything Jesus died to enable me to have.
