30 Little Things: The Book of GenesisSample
Righteous.
We all want to be righteous in God's eyes, right? We all want God to see us as His children who are righteous, not sinners. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do in this world that can make us righteous in His eyes, except through faith. Yes, it is through God's grace and our faith in Jesus Christ as our one and only Savior that we will be counted as righteous. God never said that we will be counted as righteous because we do good. He count us as righteous because His grace let Jesus died on the cross for us, and our faith in Jesus will make us be counted as righteous. We can see that from the book of Genesis, the very first book in the Bible, that it was already stated how God counted Abraham as righteous, not because of Abraham's obedience, not because Abraham left his family to follow God, but simply because Abraham believed in God.
Do we have faith in His grace on that cross? Because what we do doesn't count. The only thing that can save us is not ourselves, but God's grace. It's up to us whether we choose to put our faith in Him or not.
