Character Counts: Anyone can put on a front that fools others. Wearing certain clothes, plastering on a plastic smile, playing a role to try and impress people...we've all done these things. Shallowness and phoniness are common. What's uncommon is character. A person of character has substance in their soul. They've done the heart-work to really be right, from the inside out. When God looks at people, He looks past the outward, superficial stuff. He looks at the heart. He looks for character.
