Faith

DAY 1 OF 9

Faith is often romanticized, but true biblical faith isn’t about escaping storms—it’s about walking through them with a steady hand on the wheel and God's radar guiding us. Think of life like driving through a snowstorm: disorienting, slow, and a little terrifying. But just beyond the chaos, skies can clear in an instant. Faith isn’t wishful thinking; it’s confidence that the storm doesn’t get the final word.

The New Testament mentions “tribulation” 45 times—this isn’t small print stuff. It literally means being squeezed under pressure. Contrary to popular belief, tribulation isn’t just a future event; it’s part of the package deal of following Jesus now. As Paul said, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22, ESV). Not exactly the bumper sticker slogan, but it’s real—and strangely comforting.

Now, some in the faith movement preach that enough faith will airlift you out of trouble. But that’s fear masquerading as faith. True faith stares down the storm and says, “God’s still in charge.”

Jesus himself declared, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, ESV). And this isn’t theoretical—God works in the practical. Take the student who prayed to lead someone to Christ on his birthday. A casual chat turned holy moment, and a young woman met Jesus. Coincidence? Hardly. Faith and obedience collided, and God showed up.

That story gives us three simple steps:

  1. Start with God – Focus on His sovereignty, not your shortcomings.
  2. Determine to obey – Faith is proven in motion, not in theory.
  3. Leave the results to Him – Our job is obedience, not outcome management.

Faith itself is a gift. Don’t strain for it—ask for it. And then step out. Whether you’re praying for a friend, standing firm in a hard decision, or sharing your faith at work, those small acts are seedbeds for God’s power.

Truth is, we don’t measure faith by flash or visibility, but by our daily, consistent “yes” to God. You may not see the miracle right away—but trust me, God’s always working behind the curtain.

So here’s the challenge: What step of faith is God nudging you toward today? Take it. You might just find yourself in the middle of your own miracle.

About this Plan

Faith

Faith isn’t based on emotions or circumstances, but on a revelation of who God is. In this plan by David Campbell, discover how the Holy Spirit anchors our faith in God’s character and equips us to walk in His purpose. Even in uncertainty, God is more than enough.
