Behold the Lamb of GodSample

Day 3
As we can see in this plan, nothing is an accident in the Word of God. The Bible is a divinely purposed work of God, even something that might seem small to the average person carries massive revelation and significance, if we open our hearts to it. Today, we want to focus on two very interesting and peculiar abilities that lambs have.
Lambs can walk after just a couple of minutes of being born. Walking speaks of direction, and where there is direction, there is purpose. When lambs start to walk, they generally start looking for food, from their mother or someplace to rest (whether it be in the sun or in the shade). When they walk in a certain direction, they have a goal to achieve. They have food to find, their mother’s milk to drink, to get warm in the sun, or whatever the case might be. In the book of Luke, we can see that Jesus, from a very young age, knew He had a purpose. When His parents were looking for Him, they found Him in the synagogue doing His Father’s work. (See story in Luke 2:41-52) Later on in the gospel of Luke, we hear the Lamb of God declaring His own purpose in chapter 19, verse 10. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and save the lost.” (NIV) Jesus, the Lamb of God, knew He had to walk in His destiny from a very young age, which contributed to the reason He was so successful in His ministry.
Another interesting fact about lambs is that a part of their eye called the retina is designed by God in such a way that they are able to see very good at night. Meaning their eyes can adjust in order for them to have maximum eyesight in the dark. As we can see in the life of Jesus as recorded in the gospels, Jesus always knew where to go to seek and save the broken, the hurt, the poor, and even the dangerous people. Jesus didn’t allow the darkness of the world to blur His vision when He was moving around fulfilling His purpose. Jesus never allowed the enemy to get the upper hand in His mind. He was always focused on His mission. Jesus declared that He was the light of the world, and light is mostly effective in the dark places and dark hearts. And Jesus, being the Lamb of God, knew where to go in order for Him to shine His light.
About this Plan

Throughout Scripture and especially the New Testament, we find a lot of analogies being used to describe the character and the role of Jesus Christ towards us, as humanity. In this plan, we will look at the similarities between Jesus and a lamb and how and why we need to connect to Him as the Lamb of God. Another plan to read together with this one: "Behold the Lion of God"
