God Loves the Whole World

In the story Kaylee Prays for the Children of the World, Kaylee and her grandfather, Halbi, look through the newspaper each day to see what is happening around the world, and how they can pray. They want to join God in loving and caring about the world.

Like a garden filled with many different special and unique flowers, God's world is full of different people. Some speak different languages. Some live in big cities, and some live in tiny villages. Some have different clothes, eat different foods, and celebrate different holidays. The Bible tells us that God sees each person as special and valuable. From the snowy mountains to the sandy beaches, from the tropical jungles to the hot desert, God loves each and every person across the world—no one is forgotten or left out.

Psalm 108:4 says that God’s love is “higher than the heavens.”Can you imagine a love that is big enough to reach across the whole world? God’s love does that!

Prayer:

Thank you for loving everyone in the world. Help me to see people the way you see them—as special and valuable. Teach me to love others, just as you love them.

Activity:

The Big Love of God

Cut a large heart out of paper. Inside the heart, draw pictures of all the amazing places and people you think God’s love reaches. Put the heart up on your wall so you can be reminded of how big God’s love is.
