Spiritual StrongholdsSample

Public attitude
In the book of Esther we learn that Mordecai, despite being asked every day to bow down before Haman, never stooped to worship a man as a god. When those who urged him saw that he did not change his attitude, they reported it to Haman, explaining that Mordecai was opposed because he was a Jew. This episode helps us understand how reasonings can creep into the mind that grow over time, both those that we feed ourselves and those that are imposed on us by others. These thoughts can turn into mental fortresses, hindering our inner freedom.
Many of these reasonings arise from fear, from submission to ideas that are not in line with God's principles, or from the laws imposed by society that favor only a few. When we face such pressures, it is easy to fall into the trap of submitting to systems that do not benefit everyone. The solution, however, is not to adapt to these unjust laws, but to remain submissive to the Lord, who has established just laws for the well-being of all. God has already foreseen what is good for us, but we must make a conscious effort to apply His laws in our lives.
We know that it is not easy to practice these principles every day, especially when we feel pressured or in difficulty. But if we remember God’s truths in our hearts, we can find strength and courage to face difficult situations. The Psalmist invites us to trust in God as our fortress, while Paul reminds us that, ultimately, everyone must recognize the difference between submission to God and submission to earthly kingdoms. Submission to God is what brings true freedom and justice, while submission to human systems can only limit our growth. With His guidance, we can break down every mental fortress that separates us from His will.
About this Plan

Spiritual strongholds are mental, emotional, and spiritual barriers that oppose God’s truth and block His plan in our lives. They often form because of painful experiences, wrong beliefs, or unconfessed sins, becoming places where the enemy finds a foothold to hinder our spiritual growth. Breaking them down is essential to living in the freedom that Christ has given us. Through God’s Word, prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit, we can break down every lie and allow the truth to transform our minds, bringing us into full communion with God.
