Day 2: Conquering Fear
Devotion:
The fear of facing the unknown has been a familiar part of my life. I remember being three years old, terrified during the preparation for surgery. That experience left me with a lasting fear of white coats, a constant reminder of the vulnerability I felt in those moments. Yet, even in my fear, God was planting seeds of resilience.
Each act of bravery, whether choosing an IV over a mask or trusting in the care of those around me, became a step toward conquering my fears. God never promised a life free from fear, but He has always promised His presence. When I feel overwhelmed, He reminds me, “I am here.” His love replaces my panic with peace, and His strength becomes my own.
Reflection:
What fears are holding me captive today? How can I invite God into those spaces?
Action Step:
Identify one specific fear you are facing and take one small step to confront it today. For example, if you fear public speaking, try sharing something small in a group setting. As you take this step, pray and ask God to replace your fear with His peace.
