Homes on FireSample

A Place of Purity
Adopting the government of God and preparing a place in our home for him to manifest Himself as King will inevitably lead our family to a time of spiritual sensitivity and purification of personal, material, and territorial matters.
As we are more sensitive to God's voice, intimacy with Him will cause the Spirit to activate gifts in our family. Constant repentance and confession will maintain an environment of justice and invite peace.
It’s so healthy to be at peace! Confession of mistakes and faults will bring light into our home and will lead our family to discern what is not in accordance with a life of purity. Our family members may be moved to make changes in everyday habits. The Word, prayer, worship, and thanksgiving will occupy a new place of importance in the home.
Challenge
· Take time to pray and ask God what habits or things in your home do not contribute to an environment of purity. Vow to change these things and replace them with habits that manifest the Kingdom
· Make a habit of recognizing and confessing faults
· Share Holy Communion as a family

About this Plan

The word “home” derives from the words " focus and fire. In ancient times, families gathered around the bonfire, and that gave them a sense of protection. God's desire is that your home may be a source of light, warmth, and protection. The purpose of this devotional plan is to help you keep the fire of God's love burning and make your home an altar of worship for Him.
