There’s something amazing about truly counting your blessings. Being intentional about looking at your life and seeing the goodness of God in every moment. Too often we only give God credit for the huge miraculous things and forget that he is the God of even the smallest detail.

It is so easy to go through life, not looking for him in anything and missing his fingerprints in everything. He is incredibly intentional, incredibly kind, and incredibly creative at the way he truly works all things together for good.

But more than having a collection of “blessings” – looking for God and giving him the glory in every situation is about developing a track record with Him.

There’s nothing you need more than a history with God when it comes to your future. No matter what you face, you need to be able to look back and see who he already was in every situation so that you can look forward knowing that His nature is good, and His heart is kinder than you could ever comprehend.

Whatever you look for, you will always find it. In the valley and on the mountaintop. In the desert season and the fields of plenty alike. It’s not about the place; it’s about what you set your attention on. If your focus is all the ways that you feel let down, then you will find that even in the most blessed season of your life. If your focus is how good God is, you will find that even on the darkest night.

How brilliant to proclaim in every situation and have peace in every circumstance by reminding your season who God is – there is no better refuge!

When you train your heart to see God in everything, it builds your faith for what’s to come. It strengthens your spirit to endure trials with grace because you know that the same God who was faithful before will be faithful again.

The enemy would love to keep you distracted by what you don’t have, what you’re still waiting on, or what didn’t go as planned. But God calls you to fix your eyes on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith. Gratitude isn’t just an attitude, it’s a spiritual weapon that shifts your perspective and strengthens your soul.

So, take a moment today to recall His goodness. Write it down, speak it aloud, and let it fill your heart with hope. The more you practice seeing His hand in your life, the more you will recognize Him moving in ways you never noticed before. His faithfulness is never-ending, and His goodness is running after you even now.
