Brave & Bold: Overcoming Fear Through FaithSample

Day 2: Conquering the ‘What-Ifs’
Scripture: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Fear often takes the form of endless ‘what-if’ questions. What if I fail? What if I’m not good enough? What if I can’t sustain what I start? These thoughts paralyze our potential and keep us from stepping into our God-given purpose.
God has given us a spirit of power, not fear. Fear is not from Him. The enemy uses it to cripple our confidence, but we must reject it with the truth of God’s Word. You have the power, love, and sound mind to silence every ‘what-if’ and walk in faith.
Faith demands that we look beyond our circumstances and trust in God's ability rather than our limitations. Every person who has done something great for God had to silence their fears and take a step forward in faith. Fear is not an indicator that you should stop; it is often a sign that you are stepping into something significant.
Reflection Questions:
- What ‘what-if’ thoughts have been keeping me from moving forward?
- How can I replace fearful thoughts with faith-filled declarations?
- What does living without fear look like in my life?
Prayer: “Lord, I reject the lies of the enemy and the ‘what-ifs’ that seek to limit me. I stand on Your promise that You have given me power, love, and a sound mind. I walk forward in faith, knowing You are with me. Strengthen my mind so that I dwell on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Action Step: Write down one ‘what-if’ fear that has been holding you back. Replace it with a declaration of faith. Take one action step today to move past that fear.
