Miracles on the WaterSample

When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, 'Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.' Now Simon had been out fishing all night and had caught nothing, but because Jesus had so commanded him, he put out again; and when they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink." Simon, a seasoned fisherman, knew the sea intimately. His experience was so vast that it might have become routine. He had seen it all before.
You've heard the saying, "If something is going to happen, it will." This is about statistics, probabilities, things that are destined to occur because science says so, or because they have been proven. Endless data within a vast analysis tells us there is a percentage chance that something will or will not happen.
But God doesn't operate on statistics, probabilities, or known experiences. God came to transform everything Peter knew.
He wanted Peter's experiences to take a backseat and for him to experience something new. The water was so familiar that he could predict what would happen. Why does God want to transform everything you know? God wants you to know that there is something new. It's not everything you've seen, everything that exists.
There's more! Just as for Peter, fish came from an unexpected current, so can resources come at unexpected hours and in moments when the sea is calm. God can surprise you at the most unexpected moment.
In a moment when everything seems calm, God says, "There is a miracle here," people can't see it, but God sees the depth. God wanted to show something to Peter and to us, our experiences will not determine the great blessings we will have, only His Word will. What does God say about you? That will be done. It doesn't matter if the circumstances agree or not, if there are probabilities or not, if God says it, it is true.
God wants to transform everything you know, it's not that the sea is magical, that the nets are different, it's the Word of God. When Peter tried to fish, he took two boats: a plan A and a plan B. When we are full of experiences, we know what to say and what to do, and in case it doesn't work, then we have another experience that helps us. Jesus sees our efforts and doesn't dismiss them, but He only needs 1 boat.
Jesus tells the miracle to happen, and in a moment Peter needs the two boats he didn't need in his experiences. Jesus doesn't need that much to perform a miracle, but a miracle of Jesus can fill as many boats as possible.
That's how Jesus is! He transforms what we know and gives us a new experience.
