Boundless Love. Jesus Offers Himself for the World.Sample

God’s Love Is Made Complete in Us
“No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.” (1 John 4:12)
God's love has always been perfect. Nothing needs to be changed or added to it. Yet we read here that that love is “perfected” or “made complete” in us when we love one another (1 John 4:12) and when we keep His word (1 John 2:5). What does this mean?
When God’s love fulfills its purpose, it changes our lives. Love for one another is a fruit of that divine love, showing that it has indeed taken root in our hearts. The love that God shows us not only generates love toward Him in response but also love toward those around us. Like Him, we come to love “the world.” Like Him, we long for as many people as possible to find eternal life.
God is invisible; no one has ever seen Him. But when people see extraordinary love in us, they notice that God dwells in us. Through our behavior, something of Him can become visible. And that is exactly what God asks of us. “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
How is God's love at work in your life? And where do you see the effects of His love in the world around you?
