Financial Discipleship – the Bible on IdolatrySample

Let’s spend this last day of devotion meditating on these scriptures: Exodus 20:23-24 & Proverbs 3:5-6. When you’re ready, conclude this moment of reflection in prayer:
Prayer:
“God, may my life be a living testimony of who You are and who You’ve called me to be. May believers and nonbelievers see how I live my life: for You. May that bring glory to Your name. May it move others to ask ‘Who is this God?’ May it bring others into Your Kingdom.
If there is anyone or anything I am putting before You, show me. Reveal it to me, so that I may put it to death. May I die to self, so that I can only worship You. Because Jesus paid it all. And all to Him I graciously owe.”

About this Plan

The Bible has a lot to say about idolatry. In the 21st century, there are many things competing with God for our attention and worship. This 5-day plan will help readers gain a biblical understanding and perspective of idolatry, apply it to their lives, and prepare them to share this learning with others.
