Leading With Faith in the Hard PlacesSample

Day 4: Kindness – Leading with Compassion
Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
Kindness has the power to transform communities. It is not just an action but a posture of the heart. In the world of social impact, kindness can often be overlooked in the urgency of deadlines and deliverables. But I have learned that the most powerful change comes not just through strategy, but through genuine love and care for people.
Reflection Question: Where can you extend radical kindness today?
Prayer: Jesus, help me to lead with kindness. Soften my heart to see people the way You see them. Let my work not just be about impact but about loving well. Amen.

About this Plan

Leadership in nonprofit work, social impact, and social work demands resilience, courage, tenacity, kindness, and humility. We often stand in the gap—advocating, seeking justice, and restoring hope. But what happens when we feel exhausted, unseen, or burdened by losses? This 5-day devotional is for those in the trenches, leading with heart yet questioning if it’s worth it. Together, we’ll explore how God calls us to lead with strength and grace. May these words remind you—you are not alone, your work matters, and God sees you.
