Leading With Faith in the Hard Places

DAY 3 OF 5

Day 3: Tenacity – The Power of Perseverance

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Impact work requires perseverance. It’s not about instant results; it’s about faithfully sowing seeds, even when we don’t see immediate growth. There will be seasons when it feels like nothing is happening—no breakthroughs, no changes, no visible impact. But Scripture reminds us: Don’t grow weary. Keep going. The harvest is coming.

Tenacity is the refusal to quit when things get tough. It’s leading with a long-term vision, trusting that what God has started, He will complete.

I remember vividly a moment when I had to fight for the survival of our mission, negotiating, pivoting, and believing even when things looked bleak. And now, years later, I see the fruit of that tenacity.

Reflection Question: What is something you are currently pushing through that requires unwavering tenacity?

Prayer: Lord, give me the strength to persevere. When I feel weary, remind me that my labor is not in vain. Help me to keep going, trusting that in Your time, the harvest will come. Amen.

About this Plan

Leading With Faith in the Hard Places

Leadership in nonprofit work, social impact, and social work demands resilience, courage, tenacity, kindness, and humility. We often stand in the gap—advocating, seeking justice, and restoring hope. But what happens when we feel exhausted, unseen, or burdened by losses? This 5-day devotional is for those in the trenches, leading with heart yet questioning if it’s worth it. Together, we’ll explore how God calls us to lead with strength and grace. May these words remind you—you are not alone, your work matters, and God sees you.
