God Resets Your Life Continually

God resets your life continually. This should be no surprise to us because nothing ever stays the same. This includes you and me. God cherishes his relationship with each of us. He created each of us uniquely and has a plan for our lives. Therefore, be assured and be encouraged to know that God resets your life continually. He does it for your good and his glory.

This does not minimize or diminish a prayer and fasting journey because these are spiritual instruments that God uses supernaturally. Furthermore, when we initiate prayer and fasting in our lives, God uses them to forward our walk and relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord. As Isaiah tells us in today’s passage, his work will spring up suddenly. Just as grass springs up and leaves and flowers will come forth seemingly overnight, so God works in our lives. He resets us continually. His providence becomes evident in life. There are times when God’s providence makes roadways in the wilderness, and other times when he creates rivers in the desert. God’s providence is always with us, and he is the one who always resets our lives.

Recently, I was studying the life of Joseph. Do you realize that when Jesus was born, God reset Joseph’s life for the future? First, God sent Joseph, Mary, and Jesus from Bethlehem to Egypt, and then after Herod’s death, sent them to Israel to live in the Galilean region in Nazareth. Reset upon reset occurred in Joseph’s life, and God used adversity to bring about some of them. When you walk through adversity, God is resetting your life. Even the delays you face, the detours that may frustrate you, and the failures that you will experience—none of these are fatal, but God uses each to reset your life in ways you may not understand.

Therefore, Jesus’ followers, please understand that one of the blessings of grace is that Jesus never gives up on you and will reset your life continually.

Jesus, thank you for your grace. Thank you for resetting my life continually. Amen
