Godly Community

God, thank You for creating the beautiful union of marriage. We recognize it isn’t meant to be lived out in isolation. You designed us to be part of a larger community of believers for support, encouragement, and growth. We thank You for the opportunity to be in a godly community that provides wisdom, accountability, and strength to each of us as we journey together in faith.

Help us, Lord, to be open to the encouragement and challenge that comes from others, trusting that it’s through the body of Christ that we’re shaped and refined. Strengthen our marriage through the support of others, and may our relationship be a testimony of Your love, grace, and faithfulness.

Hebrews 10:24–25 (NIV) reminds us of the importance of community and how it can bless our marriage. It says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Lord, we also ask that You help us create spaces for community to happen. Instead of complaining about the lack of fellowship, help us to step up and foster the environments where others can experience the encouragement and connection we desire. Give us hearts of service and willingness to provide for others what we wish we had. Help us to be intentional in building relationships, offering support, and creating opportunities for authentic community where Your love and grace can abound.

We ask that You help us to seek and invest in relationships that honor You and strengthen our marriage. Surround us with people who will encourage us, speak truth into our lives, and help us grow closer to each other and to You.
