We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 73 of 365
In Numbers 9, the Israelites celebrate Passover, reflecting on God’s faithfulness in delivering them from Egypt. Yet in Numbers 11, their trust falters as they grumble about manna, longing for what they left behind. God’s response reminds them He is their ultimate provider, meeting their every need.
In Mark 14, Jesus shares the Last Supper, declaring, “This is my body” and “This is my blood of the covenant.” Here, Jesus reveals Himself as the true bread of life, offering eternal sustenance. The Holy Spirit draws us to trust in this provision, anchoring our hearts in Christ’s sacrifice.
Just as God provided for Israel, He provides for us through Jesus. Yet, like the Israelites, we can be tempted to seek fulfillment elsewhere, forgetting that only God truly satisfies.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to realign your heart. Where are you looking for satisfaction apart from Jesus? Let Him remind you that Christ alone is the bread of life who meets your every need.
