We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 76 of 365
In Numbers 17, God confirms Aaron’s leadership through the miraculous budding of his staff, establishing him as Israel’s chosen intercessor. The following chapters emphasize the need for purification, reflecting God’s desire for holiness in His covenant relationship with His people.
In Mark 15, Jesus, the ultimate intercessor, stands before Pilate, silently bearing false accusations and preparing to carry humanity’s sin to the cross. Unlike Aaron, whose priesthood required continual sacrifices, Jesus’ sacrifice is final and complete, reconciling us to God. Through the Holy Spirit, we are drawn closer to God and equipped to live in holiness.
These passages remind us of the gift of intercession—Christ’s for us and ours for others. God invites us to pray and stand in the gap for those in need of His grace.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in prayer. How can you intercede for others, trusting God’s work in their lives?
