We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 183 OF 365

Day 183 of 365

In 1 Kings 12, we see the division of Israel, a result of King Rehoboam’s failure to seek wisdom and humility. Jeroboam, leading the northern tribes, introduces idolatry, prioritizing political gain over faithfulness to God. In Acts 11, Peter explains his actions in bringing the gospel to Gentiles, remaining faithful to the Spirit’s leading despite criticism. The Holy Spirit calls us to remain true to God’s word and His voice, even when pressured to compromise.

Remaining faithful requires us to reject distractions and stand firm in what we know is true. Like Peter, we’re often called to obey God even when it challenges traditions or expectations. The Spirit strengthens us to hold fast to God’s truth, helping us discern what is right.

Today, invite the Holy Spirit to guide you in unwavering faithfulness. Ask Him to show you any areas where compromise has crept in, and seek His strength to stand firm in God’s Word. Let His presence deepen your commitment to a life that honors Him above all else.
