In John 13, Jesus surprises His disciples by washing their feet, embodying true humility and servant leadership. This act was countercultural, a powerful reminder that greatness in God’s kingdom means serving others selflessly. The Holy Spirit invites us to live out this same humility, laying down our pride and loving others in practical ways, even when it’s inconvenient.
Psalm 55 captures David’s raw emotion as he laments betrayal. He brings his pain to God, trusting Him to handle the hurt and heal his heart. The Spirit comforts us in our own disappointments and encourages us to bring our hurts to God, who is always faithful and present.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to shape your heart in the image of Christ’s humility. Ask Him to open your eyes to ways you can serve others, even those who may have hurt you. As you surrender your pride, allow Him to transform your heart to reflect Christ’s love and grace, finding strength and peace in His presence.
