We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 128 of 365
In 2 Samuel 1, David mourns the deaths of Saul and Jonathan, honoring even his former rival with humility and grace. David’s response is a profound expression of forgiveness and respect, revealing a heart transformed by God’s Spirit. When we experience conflict or loss, the Holy Spirit invites us to respond from a place of grace, rather than bitterness or anger. True peace is found not in the absence of conflict but in surrendering our pain to God, who redeems and restores.
In Luke 24, Jesus appears to His disciples after the resurrection, greeting them with “Peace be with you.” In the midst of their confusion and fear, Jesus reassures them of His presence. The Holy Spirit brings this same peace to us, filling us with God’s presence and calming our troubled hearts. It’s a peace that transcends understanding and does not depend on our circumstances.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with the peace that only God can give. Let Him soften your heart, allowing you to approach even difficult people or situations with grace. Surrender any anxiety to Him, knowing that His peace anchors you in God’s love and strengthens you to walk confidently in His promises.
