Following Jesus in Nursing: A Daily Devotional for CaregiversSample

Take one minute, and breathe in and out slowly. Ask Jesus to make his presence known to you. As a nurse, our schedules can be crazy! When were you so busy that you didn’t have time to eat? How did it feel when you realized how tired and hungry you were?
Sometimes, I forget that I am an integrated being. When I am not caring for myself physically, I suffer emotionally and spiritually. Jesus was entirely God and fully human; he knew what it was to be tired and hungry. In scripture, we see Jesus giving attention to physical needs such as rest and hunger. He is our great caregiver and cares for us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. –Grateful for you, Jen
What would you like Jesus to multiply for you so that you can care for others?
Dear Jesus, thank you for your care for me. Help me feel you with me today. Help me care well for others today in your strength. Amen
