Our responses to circumstances speak loudly. How can we respond to difficult situations in a way that glorifies the Lord?

When Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she would bring the Messiah into the world, she surrendered to God’s plan. She even sang a song of praise to God. Mary’s focus was not on her life and her desires but rather on who God was and what He was doing. Zacharias’ response to John the Baptist’s birth brought him to speak of God’s wonderful deliverance from sin and suffering. Zacharias wasn’t concerned with what he wanted to do with his son but what God was going to do through his son, John, to prepare the way for the coming Messiah.
