God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

1 John – Day 4
Who in your life is difficult to love? It’s likely there was at least one person who came immediately to your mind as you read that question.
As Christians, we’re called to show the Love of Christ to everyone we encounter. However, for most of us, this is easier said than done. How do we grow in our ability to love others?
John tells us this can be accomplished through abiding in Christ. In fact, he uses our ability to love those around us as a litmus test for whether or not we have been effectively abiding in Christ. We abide in Christ by spending time with Him. We can do this through things like prayer, worship, Bible reading, and fellowshipping with other Christians.
Today, as you spend time with Jesus, ask Him to turn your heart toward those you struggle to love.
