God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

Hebrews (2) – Day 1
Have you ever been asked why you eat shellfish? Maybe you’ve been told Christians shouldn’t wear clothing made of mixed fabrics. Some people may have even accused you of “picking and choosing” from the Bible because you work on Saturday.
The problem with these criticisms and others like them is that they’re rooted in a misunderstanding of covenants. The long lists of laws we find in the Old Testament are part of the Old Covenant.
Through His Life, Death, Burial, and Resurrection, Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant and ushered in the New Covenant. In this New and Better Covenant, we are free from the bondage of the Law and no longer subject to the Sacrificial System. Under the New Covenant, we have been given only two laws: to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
