Jesus is falsely tried, convicted, crucified, and hastily buried. Matthew concludes with Jesus’ glorious resurrection and final command to His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19a). Mark’s Gospel begins with the ministry of John Baptist. His fast-paced account presents Jesus as an obedient, suffering servant who came “to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45b).
