Prayer 101Sample
Prayer is powerful and important, yet it often appears on many Christians' lists of areas for improvement.
1 Thessalonians 5 tells us we are supposed to "pray without ceasing," but what is prayer, why do my prayers matter, and how should we pray? Jesus lays out foundational principles about prayer in Matthew 6:5-15. This week, we will dive into His teaching and work to apply it to our daily prayer lives.
As we take this time to kick-start our prayer habit, we invite you to look to who God is and call out to Him. Set a daily time to make a habit of fellowshipping and partnering with God. Bring your needs to God and open your heart for His direction. Receive His grace for forgiveness, and forgive those who have hurt us.
This plan can also be shared and done in groups, which can be helpful as we seek to intentionally cultivate Godly habits in our lives.
