What do you feel when you hear your phone ring? Are you someone who checks the caller ID before picking up? Surely you are because we live in a society that avoids scam calls, bots, and unwelcome voicemails when we’re just trying to get by.

But how often, in our efforts to ‘screen’ out the voices we don’t want to hear, do we miss the voice of the one who calls us to listen most? How often do we base our actions on who we don’t want to be like or what we want to avoid rather than following the voice that invites us to freedom?
