EphesiansSample

In verse 2 of Ephesians 4, Paul lists several attributes that echo the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. Additionally, Paul’s directive to bear with one another in love reminds us of 1 Corinthians 13, the familiar passage on love. When we love well, we naturally exude the fruit of the Spirit.
Today, let’s pray that we may cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. First, we pray for love because love is the foundation from which the fruit of the Spirit flows. Next, may we pray for a softened heart convicted of wrongdoing and eager to take on joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
