DAY 3 OF 3

FAITHFUL

My life looks very different today than it did 5 years ago. I got married a year and a half ago, I live with my husband and we have started our lives together in a small suburb in Dallas.

Five years ago I lived in a room in my parent’s home, working singing gigs, teaching music lessons, and newly stepping into career paths that God was placing in my life.

Looking back at that time and comparing it to now, there has been one thing that has stayed consistent.. and that is God’s faithfulness to me. His goodness, His love, and His consistency have never changed no matter the season.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

I don’t know about you, but I am not a big fan of change. It scares me, I feel out of control and unsteady. Maybe you love change and you’re great at pivoting and trusting God. But sometimes it takes me a moment to get there. I have to pause and remind myself that God has been so good to me and He will still be faithful in the new. I pause and I remember His faithfulness to me.

In my toughest season I remember, in my heartbroken season I remember, In my single season I remember, In my wandering season I remember, In my fruitful season I remember, In my promised land I remember.

Have you ever experienced God’s goodness in your life?

Sometimes it helps to start with the small things first.

WRITE IT OUT

Write out the times you remember God being faithful.

In my ___ season I remember, In my ____ season I remember.

The faithfulness of God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I see this all over the Bible woven throughout stories in both the New and the Old Testaments. I think about Sarah and Abram who didn’t have any children but were promised by God in their old age that they would have offspring. Sarah laughed because she couldn’t believe that God would promise this while they were in their 90s!! They were past childbearing age and it seemed impossible. Nevertheless, Abram believed God at his Word and was made righteous through his faith. And God who makes all things possible fulfilled this promise to them.

I want you to know that we have a God who is faithful to the ends of the earth. His faithfulness surpasses human comprehension. He will never give up on us. Even when we are unfaithful He is still faithful. A God who turns our mess into beauty, A God who sees you, A God who knows every part of us the good the bad and the ugly, yet He is still faithful to keep His promise. And if He is the same God who keeps his promises in the Old Testament and the New Testament, He is the same God to fulfill his promises TODAY. Let his faithfulness encourage you today, that He is a God who cares about every detail of your life and He is faithful faithful faithful.

PRAY WITH ME

Dear God, I thank You for being the same God yesterday, today, and forever. Thank You because You care for me, You know all things about me. Father, I ask that You fill me up with Your Spirit, remind me of Your goodness, show me more of Your faithfulness, and fill my heart with gratitude. I pray that You give me an opportunity to share all that you’ve done for me with someone today who needs to know of the good news that You are! In Jesus' name Amen.

Thank You, Lord, for waking me up this morning. Thank You Father for the breath in my lungs. I praise You for eyes to read Your word, for ears to hear Your voice. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank You _____
