Be HumbleSample
Have you ever heard someone use the phrase, “Pay it forward”? It’s something people usually say after doing a kind, humble thing for someone else. Instead of being paid back for their good deed, they ask the other person to do something kind for someone else—to pay it forward to someone else. Though the person who started this chain of kindness may never see what happens as others pay it forward, their actions change things for others and reach people in ways they may never have imagined. Who will see it all? God!
God knows everything we do—the good, the bad, and everything in between. It should give us confidence to know that when we do things for others in humility, God sees and honors our efforts even if nobody else does.
What’s one way you can be kind to someone else? How can you pay forward the good things God has done in your life? Whatever it is, choose to serve someone else with kindness and humility this week.
