As the “shaking” of the nations happens, treasure is going to come. When we read this in light of where the story is going with Jesus becoming the Temple: the heaven-on-earth meeting point, we can see that this Temple is pointing forward to a time when pilgrimage to this Temple to worship God will not be required anymore. After the “shaking” events of the Temple’s destruction, Jesus is going to make it possible for anyone might worship the Father "in spirit and truth,” John 4:23.
