God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Sample
Ephesians: Week 1 – Day 4
Some religious groups determine their membership by ethnicity, social class, gender, family history, or personal failings. Many of the first Christians had a difficult time understanding that the gospel was not just for the Jews, but also for the Gentiles. Jews felt a distinct cultural claim on the gospel. This created a great deal of division within the Church.
According to Paul, the great and beautiful mystery of the gospel is that it is for everyone. All who place their faith in Jesus will be saved. While many have claimed Christianity belongs to a particular race or culture, this could not be further from the truth.
God is no respecter of persons. His desire is for all to be saved. Jesus came to provide all those created in God’s image an opportunity for reconciliation with their Creator.
