Israel and the ChurchSample

Day 1 – The separation has been removed
The Lord God chose Abraham and his descendants to be a blessing to the whole world. Our Savior Jesus Christ came from the people of Israel. He was born to a Jewish mother: Mary. All the Biblical authors - including the authors of the New Testament - were Jews and therefore part of the people of Israel.
Before the coming of the Lord Jesus, Israel was already God's people. Other nations believed in all kinds of other gods. Now that has changed. The Lord Jesus died and rose not only for Israel but for all of us as well. Through His blood, He has brought us ‘nearby’. Through faith in Him, we too may become children of God.
What richness, that through the Father's love and grace, we too can become children of God!
Something to think about: Have you ever considered that Jesus is Jewish? What does this mean to you and for your attitude towards the Jewish people?
