The way you live your life probably looks different from some of your friends. This is true in all kinds of ways! You may love Taylor Swift, but they love Olivia Rodrigo. You may play football, but they play hockey. You may be super shy, but they’re incredibly outgoing. The reality is those differences are good! You weren’t created to be like anybody else, nor were your friends. God wants each of our lives to look different, and that’s especially true if we’re followers of Jesus. Our faith should set us apart from the world around us. It should make our lives stand out because following Jesus changes us from the inside out. Once we choose to put our faith in Him, we can know this is true: We are chosen, loved, and set apart for God’s good plan for our lives.

Talk to your small group about some ways you feel like your life looks different from other people’s lives. Celebrate your differences and encourage each other to stand out in this world because of Jesus!
