Commissioned to Shine and Soar

It’s still surreal to think back to the day I walked into a United Nations building to speak to a group of Christians working there. The following week, I walked on stage at a former Broadway theater to give my brief testimony during an evening service at my new home church. I love that both experiences allowed me to encourage people from all over the world.

I’m not one to seek the spotlight, but when God opens a door, I prayerfully go through it. I’m grateful for milestones and breakthrough moments.

But whether I’m ministering to one person or hundreds, whether it happens in person or online, and whether I’m near home or far away, it’s a privilege and honor to get to speak about the Goodness of God and to point others to Christ.

What a long and winding road I’ve been on to reach this point in my life!

It’s one thing to feel God Calling you into a certain ministry or path; it’s another thing to be released into that season of your life.

Jesus didn’t start His public ministry until He was about thirty. Joshua had to wait forty years in the wilderness before leading the Israelites into the Promised Land.

You’ve been praying, praising, and preparing. You also know your True Identity in Christ.

You are God’s Beloved, Blessed, and Beautiful Daughter.

You were created with Extravagant Love, Called to honor God, and chosen to Bear Fruit. You are being conformed to the Image of Jesus, and you are clothed with Purpose.

Armed with this knowledge, it’s time to step out in faith and live your God-given Dreams. The sixth and final truth in the Six C's of Transformation is that God has commissioned us to shine and soar for His Glory.

As Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 5:14-16 to His disciples and to us, we’re Called to shine and to point others to Christ so He gets the Glory.

Let’s not look at all that we think we’re lacking. God isn’t limited by our backgrounds, bank accounts, or résumés. We’re more than our nationalities, income levels, or educational achievements.

We are who God says we are.

Let’s remain at peace knowing that no one and nothing can stop God’s Purpose for our lives.

God will move Heaven and Earth to ensure we reach His Divine Destination for us. God’s Promises are yes and amen in Christ.

May you shine for Christ all the days of your life.

Dear God, thank You for commissioning me to shine and soar for Your Glory.
