Bored Reading the Bible?Sample

One of the biggest things that I believe will shift any apathy into a desire for God's Word is inviting the Holy Spirit to help you. Invite Him to help you understand it, guide you through it, and to give you a desire for more of God's Word.
The Bible has writings that are not taught by human wisdom but by the Holy Spirit; therefore, reading them without His help will often leave us understanding less than we could with His help (1 Corinthians 2:13-14). Remember, it's a supernatural book, so we need His divine help to extract the riches hidden in it.
As you begin to invite Him into these moments, you'll notice how the Word comes alive in a way that it hadn't before.
He’s the Author, after all. Scripture says, as you've read in the previous day, that He will teach us all things (John 14:26). He knows exactly how to open our hearts and minds to the truth found within His Word. Before you start reading, ask the Holy Spirit to join you, to clarify, and to deepen your understanding of God’s Word.
When we try and do it alone, we miss out on so much richness that the Word of God has.
Let's Pray:
Holy Spirit, I invite You into my reading time. Would you please help me to see, understand, and apply the truths of the Bible in my life?
