The Morning Hunt – Day Thirteen – All In
Lions have a short endurance capacity, which means they give everything they have to chase their prey. Hunting greatly diminishes their energy, which is why lions sleep up to twenty hours a day. While they are one of the top ten fastest animals in the world, a lion’s burst of speed is good only for short distances. They need to be close to their prey to attack and precise in their efforts.
We need to remember that our life is but a vapor; it is here today and gone tomorrow. That is why we are told that we do not look back once we put our hands on the plow. Many opportunities are missed on the road of regret. Work as unto The Lord today, and do not hold back on pursuing His Will for you. Compared to Eternity, this life we have been given has an expiration date, and none of us know when that is. Our times of rest are also a time of refilling and refreshing of The Spirit of God. When it is time, we must go with everything inside us.
There are rewards after the chase, but only if we do it strategically and when the time is right; otherwise, we will just be chasing the wind and never attain our goals. Strategy equals work, which develops wholeness and peace. Work towards what you believe in instead of sitting on your hands. God will do His part.
What have you been hunting for? What are you believing God for? Do not lose heart. Let patience have her perfect work, for faith without works is dead. No lion has a meal come to it. The lion must be patient and strategic, but when the opportunity is there, give it everything you have and do not let go of what God has put within your reach or your sphere of influence.
Luke 9:62 ESV - Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 9:26 NLT - So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing.
James 4:13-14 ESV - 13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 MSG - Don’t sit there watching the wind. Do your own work. Don’t stare at the clouds. Get on with your life.
Jeremiah 31:25 ESV - For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
