IS GOD THERE IN THE WAITING?

DAY FOURTEEN OF THIRTY ONE

We love to rejoice when we get a Word about how God is going to bless us. He’s going to work things out in our favor. He’s going to make our path straight.

Those are all true, but have you noticed that every blessing God speaks in the Bible comes with terms and conditions? In this case, loving Him and trusting in Him are vital ingredients to being shown which way to go and having things work out in your favor.

We have free will which means it is possible for us to get off track and potentially forfeit the Calling God had in mind for us once He knit us together in our mother’s womb. It might seem safer to lean on our own understanding because The Lord calls us into uncharted territory often.

I can remember many times in my life when I’ve looked up and asked “God, what are you doing?” Each time, He reassured me that trusting Him would be worth it. Each time, He came through.

If He’s asking you to put your dreams on pause in order to fix your family relationships, trust Him. If He’s asking you to leave everything you’ve ever known behind and start over like Abraham had to, trust Him. Only He knows the Plan for your life from beginning to end.

Prayer: Ask God to show you the things you’re not fully surrendering to Him. Pray that He’ll help you not to live in fear, but to become more comfortable walking into the unknown with Him.
