God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)Sample

Jeremiah Week 1 – Day 1
History repeats itself. We repeat old mistakes. Governments repeat poor choices made by leaders before them. When we recognize the repetitive nature of life, we often see the downsides, the negatives, the fear. But sometimes repetition brings joy. A young child loves their parents purely because they are their parents. God faithfully redeems those who repent. Or God uses someone seemingly unqualified to make His glory known.
Moses, the stutterer, stood boldly before Pharoah. Rahab, a prostitute, was an ancestor of the Messiah. Gideon, a nobody from nowhere, led the army of Israel. Jeremiah, an uneducated young man, becomes a prophet. He feels unqualified, but God tells Jeremiah that his own qualifications don’t matter because God will provide what he needs.
No matter how unqualified we feel for what God has called us to, we have confidence that God will faithfully repeat history by giving us what we need to get the job done.
