The business world regards Peter Drucker as the greatest management teacher of all time. During his life, he taught countless companies to evaluate and improve their businesses. But as a teacher, even Drucker would have to take a backseat to Jesus Christ. Jesus was not only the repository of all truth, He was a genius in the way He taught those who chose to listen. To show skeptical Pharisees that they were missing a great opportunity to enter the kingdom, Jesus told them a story. He said, "A man with two sons told the older boy, 'Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.' The son answered, 'No, I won't go,' but later he changed his mind and went anyway. Then the father told the second son, 'You go,' and he said, 'Yes, sir, I will,' but he did not go." Jesus then asked the religious leaders which of the two obeyed his father. They had to admit that the first son obeyed. Jesus then drove home his point that these religious leaders represented the second son, who claimed to know God but refused to believe the message of John the Baptist, while corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes—represented by the first son—repented when they heard John preach. Jesus, the greatest Teacher who ever lived, often used stories to convey profound truths. He engaged His listeners and when He was finished, they could not deny the point He made. When Jesus Christ speaks, wise people listen.
